I thought this was neat. I’m sure every one has hard of a pig in a blanket, well this is a pig in a pipe. You can see off to the right of the second picture there is a pig standing on end. They have many different types of pigs like scraper pigs which have wire all the way around it like a big wire brush to break up any sludge in the pipe. Then they send a cleaning pig down the line to push all that sludge out the other end of the pipe, that’s the kind of pig that is in the picture. The smart pig goes down the line next; it takes a measurement from start to finish and records any defects that it finds. They download all that information from the smart pig and give it to us so we can go find the corrosion and tell them how bad it is.

I'm sure the smart pig has a lot to speak of when he comes out the other end, quivering. The cleaner pig should follow him in case he c#@ps himself from the terror. So, pigs ride in those, yeah? How do they teach them to drive? Can we send a few Anchorage drivers up for that class?
