Today started out a little foggy and then the sun cleared it all up. It got pretty nice out with just a little breeze, partly cloudy and +58 degrees. Then I started smelling smoke, like camp fire smoke. Within 30 to 45 minutes this smoky haze showed up and the camp fire smell kept getting stronger.
From what I hear there is a fire south of Prudhoe Bay somewhere by the Brooks Range. That little breeze that I was talking about is bringing all of that smoke right here. It’s hard to tell in the pictures that I took but the smoke is very thick. There really is blue sky up there through the smoke.
