Watering Hole

This is where we get our drinking water from. There is some kind of heater on this line to keep the water flowing from this lake. From here it goes though a treatment facility to clean it and make it safe to drink. It’s just odd seeing open water in a lake when it’s -30 degrees out.
Off in the distance is a small herd of musk oxen that have been hanging around for a few weeks.

Today is a good day because I go home today!

I'm wondering - how deep is the lake?
The piping probably has elec. heat trace inside it to keep the temp up.

I hear the ground water is just caribou and oxen pee....

OLLY-OLLY-OXEN PEE!
