Praying for Summer

The weather is slowly changing and warming up. There is still a lot of snow that needs to melt as you can see by the first picture. The temperature has been between +5 and +20 degrees depending on what time of the day it is.

I’ve had some work that is way out in the tundra off the road, so I got to drive I truck with mat tracks on it. It’s fun to drive for the first five minutes or so but after that it’s just a rough bumpy slow ride.

I am sure glad I spend my time down here. I would hate to still see snow like that. I bet with the new daylight, you pretty much live in sunglasses, it must be BRIGHT!

Pretty cool truck, I haven't seen anything like it.

A wide mountain trail could be fun if you had hills.
What is the top (safe) speed of those pickups, what is their snow-depth potential, and - you blogged?

I have been told that the trucks with the mat tracks on them will go about 40 to 45MPH on smooth surfaces. I’m not sure how it would do in deep snow, the snow we typically drive on may be deep but it’s hard as a rock so you really don’t sink in very much.
